They have a major influence on regulating the national infrastructure industries to ensure effective competition is promoted.About the role As the WHS and Wellbeing Officer you will provide WHS, wellbeing and HR operational support on a range of activities and functions for the broader business.Your duties will include:Arrange and coordinate WHS and wellbeing events such as ergonomic education sessions, mental health training, sessions addressing wellbeing topics.Provide secretariat support to the Health Safety Committee and the Peer Support Advisors network. Support includes scheduling meetings, preparing the agenda, preparing the WHS activity report, minutes and resolution of action items arising from meetings.Prepare WHS and wellbeing related policies and guidelines. Develop instructional materials and news articles on WHS and wellbeing topics and maintain the related intranet content.Provide administrative support including diary management, arranging travel, credit card reconciliation and scheduling meetings.Engage with internal stakeholders through the WHS inbox and other mediums by providing direct, timely, first tier advice and support.Manage the First Aid Officer, Peer Support Adviser and Health and Safety Representative cohorts by ensuring that all positions are filled by appropriately trained and accredited employees. Activities include:recruitment, appointment, arranging training, overseeing certification requirements, providing supplies and maintaining the appropriate records.Monitor WHS and wellbeing expenditure by maintaining a register of all expenditure and by providing regular reports of actual and planned expenditure.Manage the provision of workstation assessments by engaging appropriate providers. Arrange assessments and action reports by reviewing and implementing recommendations as appropriate.Arrange purchase and distribution of ergonomic equipment and supplies and update the WHS equipment register. Provide support to employees and managers on use and maintenance of equipment.Case management of early intervention under the supervision of the Director.Review, action and record all WHS incident reports. Action to include review of employee welfare and assessment of any remedial action. Provide a weekly reports on any incident associated with remote work.Undertake procurement activities in accordance with policyAssist other areas of the branch as required.
