About the Position
Administrator/ People and Culture SupportWe are looking for an Office Administration and People and Culture Assistant to join our team. Based in Melbourne and reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Key responsibilities will vary depending on the business need at the time, but in a nutshell, this position will focus on providing support to the People & Culture team via preparation and management of employee documents (including contracts), assistance with the recruitment process including phone screening, interview scheduling; and ownership of the onboarding/induction and offboarding processes for new and departing team members. Additionally, this position will provide some office management support for our Melbourne and interstate offices as well as assisting the senior team with support as required. Day-to-day the role entails:Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding including managing our (online) entrance and exit interview processesCreate, review, and approve employment contracts and other employment paperwork for both new starters, existing employeesSupport Hiring Managers by posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and liaising with candidates as required Participate in P&C projects and support the team with ad-hoc tasks Assist with organising monthly Town Hall (all staff meetings) and other events.Assist with office management duties including liaising with building management particularly for the Melbourne officePersonal CharacteristicsCollaborative and empathetic work stylePassion and drive to continuously improve people operationsStrong with technology and application of various softwares Ability to work autonomously with an abundance of initiativeAbility to build great relationships and effectively collaborate across different functionsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under pressureHigh level of discretion and comfort dealing with sensitive information Essential Qualifications, Skills, and ExperiencePrevious administration or recruitment experienceA business or other relevant tertiary qualification Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience working in a fast-paced, tech start-up is advantageousAbout CarbarWe are a digitally-led, customer-focused automotive start-up, backed by IAG and pioneering a new, no-fuss way to drive.
